We’re looking for volunteers to join The Plot is Queer! The project is starting this September 2026 and will run until August 2027, and we want to build the whole thing together with you.

The Plot is Queer is not just about reading books and having discussions. We’ll be working on the LGBT+ House Library, organizing book clubs, workshops and Living Library events, creating resources and content, connecting with writers, artists, publishers and organizations, collecting and organizing book donations, and eventually putting together a queer book fair and closing festival.

We’re looking for people who would like to take an active role in the project. You might be interested in library work and cataloguing, organizing events, facilitating discussions, creating content, outreach and partnerships, or helping with the book fair. You can also bring your own ideas, we’d love to hear them.

For this volunteer team, we’re asking for a commitment of at least 5 hours per week throughout the project.

The LGBT+ House Library is already the biggest queer library in the Baltics, but can we make it bigger? Can we create a lending system? Can we get more queer books into more hands? Can we build more connections between readers, writers, artists and our community?

We think yes. But we need people to make it happen.
