Taking out hate signs | The Collective Act

Taking out hate signs | The Collective Act - Local Event

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Come join us for a walk around the city center of Riga with a little side quest!

🦋 This is a second stage of our local sticker action. This time we will collect the stickers that we designed during the workshop on 5th of June and use them to cover up hate symbols in public spaces. We will look for both straight-forward hate messages as well as fascist and racist "dog whistles".

🕒 20.06 at 18:15
📍 Gathering point: Laima Clock, Riga city center

📝 Want to join the walk? Fill in the application form here or via the link in bio: https://forms.gle/K6Tm1xy8HzDKSKki8

✂️ Materials (stickers) will be provided. Comfortable walking shoes recommended, bring your water bottle. No prior experience needed. You can also come and gather your stickers from our previous event.

🌺 This is your opportunity to explore the city, stop at significant and historical spots for the local queer community and engage in street action against hate.

🪴 Together, we will use our stickers to cover up hate symbols in public spaces, both obvious hate messages and more subtle fascist and racist “dog whistles”.
If this take on urban hiking sounds exciting to you, join us to take out the hate and fill the city with queerness!

We can’t wait to welcome you.

This project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, administered in Latvia by @jspa_latvia. It is a small-scale partnership project born from the collaboration between Active Rainbow and Peemoti Keskus / @peemotikeskus 🇪🇪
