Studentu filmu vakars + diskusija

We invite everyone, especially students and professors, to our first film night on October 21st at 18:00 at the Riga Stradins University Student House! We welcome those already involved in movements supporting Palestine and those with little prior knowledge who simply wish to spend meaningful time with others.

We will be screening the 2025 documentary "The Encampments." It focuses on the student movement at Columbia University in New York, which launched a protest against the university in 2024. The students opposed university investments in the US and Israeli arms industries. This sparked a nationwide wave of protests in solidarity with the people of Gaza, involving both students and professors.

The event will be held in English. The film is in English but features Latvian subtitles. Registration link to help us manage the planned attendance: https://www.visidati.lv/tk/12792985/
