Pasaules Palestīnas filmu diena
Pasaules Palestīnas filmu dienu ietvaros jau otro gadu 2. novembrī aicinām uz dokumentālo filmu vakaru, kurā skatīsimies septiņas palestīniešu īsfilmas.
Starptautiski notiekošās Palestīnas filmu dienas katru gadu sniedz iespēju ne tikai pieredzēt jaunas un vēsturiskas palestīniešu filmas, bet arī apliecināt, ka palestīniešu esamība nevar tikt izdzēsta par spīti notiekošajam genocīdam.
Par filmām:
Dokumentālo īsfilmu programma “Gazawayat” (2025) pievēršas mūsdienu palestīniešu sieviešu stāstiem Gazā. Filmā “The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing” (2024) Skotijā dzīvojošs palestīniešu izcelsmes režiors radoši atsavina Skotijas filmu arhīvā atrastu palestīniešu pļavas ziedu video arhīva materiālu. “The Dream” (1987) apkopo vairāk nekā 400 palestīniešu bēgļu intervijas, kas veiktas Libānā, tiem daloties ar saviem sapņiem, kas vienmēr atgriež skatu uz Gazu.
Bezmaksas ieeja! Pasākums notiks kopienas centrā “Maiznīca”, Valērijas Seiles ielā 12, Rīgā. Filmas ir arābu valodā un tiks rādītas ar subtitriem angļu valodā.

ENG:
As part of Palestine Cinema Days Around the World, on November 2nd we invite you to a screening of seven Palestinian short films.
The annual international events of Palestine Cinema Days allows us to gather not only to screen films but to affirm that the Palestinian narrative cannot be erased.
About the films:
“Gazawayat” (2025) programme highlights the voices of women in Gaza. In “The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing” (2024) a filmmaker of Palestinian descent based in Scotland unearths and reclaims Scottish film archive footage of Palestinian wildflowers. “The Dream” (1987) is the result of more than 400 interviews with Palestinian refugees in Lebanon who shared their dreams that all turn their eye back on Gaza.
The entry is free and the event will be held at the community centre “Maiznīca” on Valērijas Seiles street 12, Riga. The movies are in Arabic and will be shown with subtitles in English.
