šµšø Movie night!
On June 2nd 19:00 we will watch the 2017 documentary āThe Truth: Lost at Seaā about the 2010 activist flotilla convoy āFreedom Flotillaā and their attempt to break the illegal Gaza blockade. We invite you to attend the screening to learn about the prolonged relevance of the flotilla humanitarian goals, and to witness the evidence that Israel's war crimes against Palestinians began long before 2023.
The film starts with footage of activists preparing for their journey, followed by video capture from flotilla participants who documented Israel's attacks on the international activists by illegally intercepting flotillas in international waters. Ten activists were murdered in Israeli attacks on the flotillas. Finally, you will see the spread of Israeli propaganda in the media, which you will recognize from the modern day Israeli government's statements, responding to the current flotilla kidnappings in the in order to normalize its crimes in the eyes of the international community.
Movie is in various languages and will have English subtitles.
The event will happen at the new location of the community centre āMaiznÄ«caā: ValÄrijas Seiles Street 12 in Riga.
