Art Against Silence | Creative Stations (art, fanzines, and writing station)

Welcome to our local action event, co-created by our amazing Latvian team of participants in the Innovative Practices for Active Citizenship Erasmus+ Youth Exchange that took place in March in Ljubljana Slovenia.

We’re transforming the LGBT House into a collaborative zine-making studio dedicated to exploring themes of diversity, inclusion, active citizenship and more. Let’s bring that spirit to a full-on creative marathon!

We’ll have THREE stations for you to explore, learn, and contribute your voice:

​1. Creative Art Station: Learn simple illustration and design techniques to make your pages pop! No art degree needed – think of it like the therapeutic freedom
2. Creative Writing Station: Discover the power of words! Get tips on how to powerfully share your perspective.
3. Collage & Fanzine Making: Bring it all together! Here we'll focus on the actual assembly. We'll have stacks of magazines to cut, paste, and remix into visual messages. (If you have old magazines to share, please bring them!)

​The goal?
To have fun, meet like-minded people, and create a community zine that celebrates and supports our beautifully diverse identities and active citizenship. Everyone is welcome, and all levels of experience are valued!

We will provide with hot beverages, snacks, cozy atmosphere, but you can also bring your own to share. We really hope to see you there.

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, and it was organized by our Slovene partners, Moja Mavrica.
