nment for reflection\non the synergic power of art and activism when they
converge.\n\nArtivism is the practice of using creative expression as a to
ol for social\nchange and positive transformation. We believe that Rēzekne
is full of creative\nand thoughtful individuals who are already doing exa
ctly this\, and the only\nthing missing was a place where they could come
	together\, speak openly\, listen\nrespectfully\, and create together.\n\nC
urated by Mafalda Garcia and Willow Storm Boulter\, these sessions will pr
ovide\nan opportunity for honest dialogue\, free expression\, and human co
nnection. This\nis not an ideological space\; it is a space for humanity\,
	 curiosity\, and art.\n\nPROGRAM\n\n🕒 15:00 Social Art Exhibition: Gazas B
ērnu Gleznu Izstāde\n\nPaintings by evacuated Palestinian children\, creat
ed at the Meera Children's\nCenter in Cairo\, Egypt\, a center visited by
around 250 children daily\, many\nevacuated after the bombing of Gaza\, ma
ny of whom have lost family members or\nexperienced life-changing injuries
.\n\nTheir paintings show not only trauma\, lost families\, and pride in t
	heir\nPalestinian roots\, but also suns\, trees\, and rainbows. Children\,
finding safety\,\nstill dreaming.\n\nThis exhibition opens a dialogue abo
ut war\, childhood\, and the power of art to\nmake us feel what numbers an
d headlines cannot.\n\n🕓 16:00 Open Talk: Why Does Activism Matter Today?\
n\nwith special participation of Maiznīca and Par Brīvu Palestīnu\n\nConfl
icts are reshaping our world\, and Europe is not far from them. How do we\
nfeel about it? How do we act? What role does art play in understanding an
d\nexpressing what is happening around us?\n\nWe invited two of Riga's mos
t active social movements to share their\nperspectives and open a bridge b
etween different points of view.\n\nMaiznīca is a non-commercial community
center and intersectional activist\ncollective in Riga\, organizing discu
ssions\, film nights\, creative workshops\,\nprotests\, and events in supp
	ort of feminist\, queer\, and migrant communities\,\nbuilding ever-widenin
g solidarity with people who care.\n\nPar Brīvu Palestīnu is an activist m
ovement in Riga standing against the\ngenocide of the Palestinian people c
ommitted by Israel\, the occupation of their\nterritories\, and Latvia's c
omplicity in these war crimes\, organizing protests\,\neducational events\
, and film screenings to pressure the Latvian government to\ncomply with i
nternational law.\n\nThis gathering is open to everyone. We ask only one t
hing: respect for each\nother\, for different opinions\, and for the stori
es and experiences that will be\nshared in this room.\n\nCome with an open
mind. Leave with new connections. 🌿\n\n📍 Lipuoja · Rēzekne\n\n🎨 Organic S
